Livigno, Italy

To reach Livigno you can take a flight to Milan and from there continue with one of the many shuttle services.
Niederau, Austria
In the heart of Austria, the village of Niederau is part of the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau ski area and the Ski Juwel area has 109 km of slopes. A free, fast and efficient bus service connects the various lifts.
Ideal for beginners, intermediate skiers and snowboarders, more experienced skiers may find less interest and fun.

Cauterets, France
Skiing in France is usually synonymous with the "Alps" but there is a much cheaper option without sacrificing the quality of the facilities: the Pyrenees.
At Cauterets you can try your hand at a total of 23 slopes, including 2 for experts, 8 for advanced skiers and 9 for intermediate skiers. There are also some ski schools for those who want to try their hand at the snow for the first time.
For those who want to reach this area by plane, Toulouse airport is well served and is about an hour and a half drive from Cauterets.
Poiana Brasov, Romania
With only 24 km of slopes (for a total of 12 slopes), Poiana Brasov is certainly not the largest of the ski areas, but offers some pleasantly long slopes and frequent offers for night skiing.
It is certainly one of the best cheap ski resorts in Europe and is also relatively easy to reach, since flights to Bucharest are very frequent.
Sestriere, Italy
The site of Alpine Skiing World Cup competitions, Sestriere renovated its infrastructure for the 2006 Winter Olympics. The 164 km of the Sestriere ski area becomes 400 km if you calculate the total of the Vialattea ski area of which Sestriere is the centre.
